Chicago Bank of America Half Marathon takes runners through West Side course
CHICAGO - The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 drew more than 9,500 racers to the city's West Side on Sunday morning.
The 13.1-mile race started and ended in Garfield Park and runners made their way through Humboldt Park and Douglass Park.
More than 80% of the participants hailed from Chicago and its surrounding suburbs.

The top finishers were:
- Zouhair Talbi in the "Professional Men" group with a time of 1 hour, 1 minute and 8 seconds, improving on his third-place finish from last year.
- Meseret Belete Tola was the top "Professional Women" group finisher with a time of 1 hour, 9 minutes, and 36 seconds, setting an event record.
- Ricky Gupta was the top finisher in the "Non-Binary Runners" category with a time of 1 hour, 28 minutes and 22 seconds.
- Daniel Romanchuk was the top finisher in the "Men Wheelchairs" category with a time of 43 minutes and 43 seconds, setting an event record. This is his fourth straight title in the wheelchair competition.
- Susannah Scaroni was the top finisher in the "Women Wheelchairs" group with a time of 48 minutes and 50 seconds. This is her third win in the women’s division.
